HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

We are fortunate to have so many wonderful volunteer who willingly give up their time. Therefore, we are unable to accept new volunteers at the present time. If you are interested in joining us in the future, please check our website, where we will advertise when we recommence recruitment.

We work on a rota system receiving donations, sorting and storing food, preparing food packs and distributing them to people in need.

Sorting is done on Monday and Wednesday mornings at the Methodist Church, Station Road and the packs are distributed on Tuesday and Friday mornings also from the Methodist Church.

A Management Committee oversees the various aspects of our work – liaison with referral agencies, collection points, volunteer training etc. We usually have over 60 volunteers to support the service and are very happy to talk to groups about our work.
